Lift Stations and Sewage Treatment WorksFOG can cause real problems in lift stations and sewage treatment works.
Generally lift stations tend to act as default grease traps as the water collects and is held for a while, giving the FOG a chance to cool down and separate. FOG tends to cover the pumps thus overheating them and effecting the operation of the floats – which then causes the lift station to fail. The same is the case with packaged sewage treatment works – FOG tends to clog them and affect their operation. By implementing EB’s lift station programs, lift stations can be treated and FOG will no longer form thus extending their life as well as making them efficient and using less power in their operations. In sewage treatment works a properly instituted FOG program will reduce FOG, thus allowing them to operate at their peak. |
